KL University, recognized among the top universities in South India, hosted a powerful International Women’s Summit that brought together policymakers, healthcare leaders, educators, and students for a day of reflection, dialogue, and resolve. The event reinforced a simple yet enduring message: confidence is the foundation of progress.

Organized under the leadership of Secretary Smt. Koneru Sivakanchanalatha and Smt. Koneru Nikhila, through the KL Women Development Cell, chaired by Dr. K. Ruth Ramya, the summit welcomed Andhra Pradesh Government Advisor Seeta Sharma as the Chief Guest. Dr. Shamma Sultana, Chairperson and Chief Gynecologist of Hopewin Hospitals, Guntur, attended as the Guest of Honor and keynote speaker.

Addressing the gathering, Seeta Sharma encouraged women to move forward with self-belief and clarity of purpose. She emphasized that women today are excelling across sectors and must acknowledge their own capabilities. Reflecting on her personal journey, she shared that she once stepped away from formal education, then recognized its lasting importance and completed her studies with renewed determination. Her message to students was direct: stay focused throughout the academic year and protect your long-term goals.

Mamata Rayapati, Managing Director of Ramesh Hospitals, highlighted the importance of physical and mental well-being in leadership. She noted that empowered women contribute to strong families, and strong families form the backbone of a stable society. Her address focused on balance, resilience, and sustained personal growth.

The summit featured discussions on women’s leadership in socio-economic sectors, entrepreneurship, equal opportunity, education, and career advancement. Interactive sessions addressed digital financial literacy, skill enhancement, and practical pathways to independence. Women leaders from diverse fields shared real-world challenges and the strategies they used to overcome them, offering students practical insight into navigating professional journeys.

Through initiatives like this summit, the KL Women Development Cell continues to create meaningful platforms that promote confidence, equal opportunity, and skill development across the university community.

At KL University, empowerment is not a slogan. It is a sustained commitment to building leaders who step forward with conviction and purpose.
